Dr. Kayla Nelson is a clinical psychologist, speaker, and thought leader passionate about empowering families, educators, and communities with the tools to raise emotionally resilient children and thrive in today’s fast-paced, often overwhelming world. With over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, Dr. Nelson brings warmth, expertise, and practical insights to every stage—whether she’s in the therapy room, a school auditorium, or a corporate conference hall.


Known for her engaging presence and deeply relatable style, Dr. Nelson speaks on topics such as child and adolescent mental health, parenting in modern times, building confidence in kids, and overcoming anxiety and negative self-talk. Dr. Nelson received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University and has trained in diverse settings—from residential treatment facilities and foster youth programs to public schools and community mental health clinics. She integrates mindfulness-based therapies like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her work, blending science with heart to help individuals and families find healing and connection.
