jeff love - Biography

In 1991 I performed my first comedy show for three minutes at a Comedy Club open-mic-night at a comedy club, Hyena’s. There was more desperation in that room than in the entire country of Ethiopia. Fully determined, by 1993 I was working almost full time at standup comedy, but I wasn’t making much money. I created a side hustle, consulting for small business in the towns and cities I was booked in.

By 1999, I was making enough money telling jokes that I was able to stop booking consulting gigs and concentrate on booking corporate shows along with my comedy club dates.

My phone was finally ringing. They WANTED me, opening for bands at festivals, concerts, and fairs. I worked on the main stage at the State Fair of Texas opening for the Guess Who and the Beach Boys. I worked at other state fairs in Mississippi and Louisiana, opening for Ray Wylie Hubbard and Merle Haggard.

I would open for other bands, Chicago, Pearl Jam, Charley Pride, Foreigner, Johnny Rivers, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Foreigner, Graham Central Station, Foghat, Johnny Mathis, The Zombies, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Viola Wills, Midnight Star, Rick James, Uptown, Viola Wills, George Jones, and Cheryl Crow.

I have headlined corporate shows for Trane, Intel, U.S. Naval Command, Raytheon, Bell Helicopter, BEA Systems, Dallas, Miami, and San Diego Chambers of Commerce, International Foresters, National Baptist Convention, Brookdale, and GMAC.

From 2009- until Covid I coached AAU Basketball. In addition to my comedy dates I owned ten AAU Basketball Teams with one hundred kids of all ages playing for me. I was honored with the title of Gold Star AAU Coach, one of only five in Texas. Two of the five Gold Star Coaches were corporate teams backed by Nike and Addidas. The kids played year-round with breaks between each of the four seasons. Between basketball seasons I would tour nationally as a headlining comedian.

I have written three books and produced thirteen episodes of a live standup comedy television show titled, “Laughter In Paradise”, available on Amazon.com. The first season, thirteen episodes, has over three-million views on Dry Bar and Jewish Life Television.

I have a wife and three kids, all grown. I am a comedian, consultant, corporate trainer, real estate investor, and remodeler. I perform consulting work for companies all over the country. I am currently setting up a national dealer network for a brand-new product, new/old cars. This company builds brand new versions of old cars.
