"I can't tell you how many people in this province who would not be alive and well today. And it’s because of [Jamie] and her family in terms of what we learned from them. But also their post-injury advocacy that’s really changed the trajectory of many patients."

-Mypinder Sikon, M.D., Ph.D., Intensive Care Physician and Clinician-Scientist

"Jamie is very dynamic and motivational. She helps people understand complex topics and traumatic situations in a lighthearted and clear manner."

-Mypinder Sikon, VHG

"Jamie brought a real story and face to many of the strategies I teach my students on how to care for their patients. She was very engaging and kept my students interested with videos peppered throughout her presentation. This allowed her knowledge to be absorbed by my students."

-Dr. Jason Tse,MSOT INSTRUCTOR, Pain Medicine Group

"Jamie is an extraordinary speaker. She sustained a severe brain injury and can boast the most extraordinary recovery which she credits to her family. She is paying her fortune forward and is now changing lives on the broadest possible platform. She is simultaneously informative, genuine, and vulnerable—the latter really makes her story about injury and rehabilitation come alive. Her brain and her skiing career are just two of a million remarkable things she has to offer."

jamie mocrazy - BIOGRAPHY

Jamie MoCrazy grew up on the ski slopes with a dream, and she knew she would do whatever it took to make that dream come true. She would do what it took, like becoming the first woman in the world to flip off a rail in a ski competition. She would do what it took, like winning the first ever slopestyle skiing junior World Championships in New Zealand and convince the IOC to add slopestyle skiing to the Olympics. She would do what it took, like becoming the first woman in the world to double flip at the X-Games. She would do what it took, until that almost took her life.

A dramatic one minute video will introduce Jamie and her critical brain injury-which resulted in 8 spots of bleeding to the brain, brain stem damage, paralysis and 10 days in a natural coma followed by complete amnesia. Jamie will then cartwheel onto the stage and share the story of how her life cartwheeled upside down in the blink of an eye. She will share how complementary medicine and an integrative approach led to her full recovery, and how using these strategies will allow every brain injury survivor to have a better outcome.

These strategies are taught through consulting and advocacy by nonprofit MoCrazy Strong. Jamie is the co-director and lead participant of award winning short documentary #MoCrazyStrong. A story of Jamie’s journey from the top of the mountain of life to getting caught in a metaphorical avalanche that deposited her at the bottom, and most importantly how she climbed an alternative peak. Learn how Jamie built a vibrant identity as Jamie 2.0, and how you can climb an alternative peak after trauma.

In one of Jamie’s presentations, the audience can expect entertaining, vulnerable and passionate storytelling that helps participants:

Since recovering from her accident, Jamie has spoken in front of audiences ranging from 20 to 1,000 people and presented at nonprofit galas, business conventions, wellness conferences, higher education, and medical schools all over the globe. Jamie is currently on a film festival run with short documentary #MoCrazyStrong and looks to use that film to create a narrative around TBI on family involvement, belief in recovery, and to change policy and protocol on integrative healing opportunities.
