De’Onte “BigSir” Garrett is an author, professional speaker, and nonprofit executive with more than a decade of experience developing young people, strengthening communities, and leading purpose-driven organizations. He currently serves as Executive Director for the Longview Region of Mentoring Alliance and is pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Having overcome fatherlessness, poverty, and generational challenges, De’Onte connects with audiences through honest storytelling, practical wisdom, and an unwavering belief that a person’s past does not have to determine their future. His executive leadership experience allows him to move audiences beyond temporary inspiration and toward meaningful action.
De’Onte speaks to educators, business leaders, ministry audiences, nonprofit organizations, and community groups on leadership, resilience, identity, mentoring, organizational change, and personal responsibility. His signature challenge is simple but transformative: “Show up. Be present. Stay consistent.”
