SUSIE VANDERLIP, CPAE
When people speak of SUSIE VANDERLIP, they often refer to "The
Dancer" or "Julio, the Gangbanger!," one of her
mesmerizing, real-life characters that illustrate life’s
serious challenges, helping parents and guiding teens to good
choices and success. Renowned nationwide, Ms. Vanderlip has spoken
to 1/2 million teens and adult in 46 states and Canada in thousands
of middle schools, high schools, colleges, communities, conferences,
detention facilities and churches. Meeting planners and school
administrators repeatedly pronounce, “You could have heard
a pin drop!” “This was the best presentation we have
ever had on these subjects!” “The attendees couldn’t
stop talking about LEGACY OF HOPE. It was still the buzz weeks
later.”
Some of Ms. Vanderlip’s notable clients include The Betty
Ford Center, Caron Foundation, Hazelden, American Counseling Association,
National Adolescent Conference, National Boys and Girls Club and
many more. She is the author of 52 Ways to Protect Your Teen and
a contributing author to three motivational books for teens: Teen
Power and Beyond , Teen Power Too, and Lead Now or Step Aside.
Susie is a Prevention Specialist with 20 years experience addressing
emotional intelligence, alcohol and substance abuse, healing and
empowerment. She has been a professional dancer, actress, yoga
and meditation instructor for over 25 years. Ms. Vanderlip toured
with the Bob Hope USO to military bases and is an Associate Professor
in Dance at Coastline Community College.
DR. KEN VANDERLIP’s expertise includes a successful
psychotherapy practice since 1983, forty years in the field of
martial arts, self-awareness and stress management pursuits. Dr.
Vanderlip is an expert in Stress Management, Disaster Recovery,
EMDR, Post-Traumatic Stress, Peak Performance and Sports Psychology.
In addition, he is a Fourth Degree Black Belt and Sensei in Judo
including 40 years of Judo experience. He won third place National
Championships, Masters Division. 1984 and was featured in the
Olympic Commercial for Judo, KABC-TV as well as had a key role
in the movie Judo Justice. As a Psychologist in private practice,
Dr. Vanderlip serves Executives, Management, Employee Assistance
programs, and athletes.
Both Ken Vanderlip, Ph.D. and Susie Vanderlip, CSP are Ordained
Ministers of Service in the School of Actualism with over 25 years
of meditation practice in techniques designed for the Western
professional mind.
