handle their retirement plans. He will also discuss the following
five common mistakes made by individuals:
1.Not taking full advantage of the company matching program,
2.Withdrawing or borrowing money for non-retirement needs.
3.Not creating a defined investment strategy.
4.Chasing past returns.
5.Not rebalancing their portfolio.

Bio:
Phil Fish, CFP® has been living and breathing the financial
industry for over sixteen years. With experience in banking, debt
counseling, investments, estate planning, taxes and insurance
he wrote and published the 28 Days to Financial Health™
workbook in 2005 hoping his knowledge would make a difference
in preparing individuals for retirement. Phil’s 28 Days
workshops, available to organizations and companies throughout
America, are also helping arm families with the roadmap they need
to have a financially secure future.
Phil is very concerned about the ability of individuals to retire
comfortably. People are living longer, long-term care costs are
rising, savings are down, debt continues to grow, and companies
are moving away from pension plans. It will be a challenge for
individuals to save enough and pay down their debt so that they
can retire and live comfortably. Phil brings his financial planning
expertise into the hands and homes of individuals through his
28 Days program so that they can move closer to this challenging
goal of preparing for retirement.
A native of England, Phil Fish, came to America when he was age
17. Since graduating with honors from St. Mary’s College
of Southern Maryland with a B.A. in Economics, he has held management
and sales positions with several well-known financial institutions.
Phil hasn’t always lived a financially sound life and can
relate to many of the trials and tribulations of trying desperately
to get out of debt. Phil frequently refers to the story of when
he “hit bottom” having to purchase groceries on his
Texaco credit card. (His gas credit card was the only one with
any credit left!) This down-to-earth nature, sincere desire to
help people, and plethora of financial planning knowledge, coalesce
to make him an excellent source and spokesperson on the financial
topics facing individuals today.
Phil resides in Martinsburg, West Virginia with his wife Lisa.
