About
the Speaker
Peter Reilly is Associate Professor-In-Residence and Director
of Training at the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution, UNLV
William S. Boyd School of Law (Las Vegas). A graduate of Harvard
Law School, Reilly works with corporate, government, and non-profit
groups and associations, including the USA TODAY newspaper, Turner
Network Sales (a division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.),
the National Park Service, and Women in Cable and Telecommunications.
Prior to becoming a law professor, Reilly spent three years as
a Hewlett Fellow in Conflict Resolution and Legal Problem-Solving
at Georgetown University Law Center, where he taught and researched
Negotiations and conflict resolution. Reilly continues to teach
classes in negotiation, persuasion and influence through Georgetown
University’s Center for Professional Development, as well
as Georgetown’s Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership.
Before entering academia, Reilly worked for seven years as an
attorney for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in Washington,
D.C.
Type of Sessions Available
All sessions are fun, high-energy, and highly interactive. Reilly’s
format can work with most time demands: 45 minutes, 60 minutes,
90 minutes, 2-3 hours, one day, or several days, but Reilly has
done everything from “morning breakfasts” to “After
Dinner Speeches,” to trainings lasting several days. Reilly
can tailor the session to any kind of occasion.

Negotiation: A Core Skill for Business and Life ®
In this highly useful and interactive session, participants walk
away with specific skills in negotiation that can be used immediately
in both one’s professional and personal life. Participants
will learn about leading theories of negotiation and will engage
in actual negotiation role plays, so they should be prepared for
a fun, fast-paced, and highly interactive experience. The session
emphasizes how negotiation theory can be transferred to specific
behaviors, skills, strategies and tactics. The speaker, a Harvard-trained
law professor, is an expert in negotiation, persuasion and influence,
