Biography
Nicole Schapiro was described by the New York
Times as "a role model for all people who want to succeed
and are not afraid of the odds." She is indeed a role model
for risk taking, visioning, hard work and success.
At age 15 Nicole fled alone from Communist Hungary to the United
States. Speaking no English, she lived as a "homeless"
person in New York City for one year. Through her persistent negotiating
she received a scholarship to the University of Chicago, earning
a BS in Psychology, and later a MA in Industrial Psychology from
NYU.
Before the age of 30 she became the first woman senior vice-president
of Sales and Marketing at Citicorp in New York. Since 1972 she
has been president of her own global organizational development,
training and management consulting firm. Nicole Schapiro &
Associates (NSA) designs and delivers training programs, offers
organization development consulting, and presents motivational
Keynote speeches and customized solutions for major organizations
in the private and public sector, nonprofit agencies, educational
institutions and associations both locally and globally. Well
over 1000 organizations have benefited from NSA's cutting-edge
services.
Nicole has been a keynote speaker at major conferences around
the world. Her nationwide clients include: city, state and federal
agencies, financial institutions, numerous colleges and universities,
health care organizations, the National Association of Realtors,
the US Chamber of Commerce, Fortune 1000 companies, and high tech
and telecommunications industries. Her client list includes: Eastman
Kodak, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Xerox, NASA, AT&T,
Winstar, MCI, Dow Corning, Pacific Bell, ETrade, Stanford University,
State Farm Insurance, HBO, Comedy Central, and Ford Motor Company,
as well as numerous others.
Nicole has been a guest on national radio and TV shows such as
Oprah, CNN and BBC to name a few. Ms. Schapiro appears in Who's
Who in Finance and Industry, and has received many awards, such
as the City of San Francisco's Immigrant of the Year Award, Toastmasters
International Leadership Award, San Francisco Small Business Administration's
Woman Business Advocate of the Year 1998, and recently was honored
as a 21st Century Dynamic Woman by the American Business Women's
Association.
Nicole's own life story combined with over 30 years of practical
experience informs and inspires individuals and businesses to
achieve higher productivity and create a bold future. Her ability
