Do you want an inspirational, mesmerizing keynote speaker who
understands the theme of your conference and will bring focus
and power to your corporate or health care convention or church
event?
Kate Adamson delivers!
This is not just a “feel good” motivational speaker.
Kate’s experience is unique. She inspires audiences from
coast to coast to overcome personal and organizational paralysis
with simple techniques which combine professional focus and spiritual
disciplines.
Against one-in-a-million odds, she overcame total paralysis from
a devastating double brainstem stroke. Today she brings audiences
to their feet in enthusiastic appreciation and moves them to action
with focus, determination and courage.
What challenges do you face? What goals is your organization
is trying to reach? What is stopping you? What are you doing about
it?
Kate inspires corporate, medical, educational and religious leaders
to overcome the paralysis that keeps their organizations from
advancing to the next level of accomplishment. She proves that
we can achieve the impossible by simplifying issues and focusing
on what we have, not what we don’t; what we want, not what
we don’t; and what we can do, not what we can’t.

CORPORATE CONVENTIONS AND BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS-One Hand
Clapping: Appreciation before Accommodation. Accommodate
disabilities by appreciating the unique strengths from overcoming
disabilities.
What will your leadership team accomplish when they focus on
employees’ abilities, not their disabilities – on
what they can do, not what they can’t? What if they saw
assets where others saw liabilities?
There are legal requirements involving accommodation, but are
there also practical advantages to accommodating the disabled?
What challenges do you face? What goal is your organization
trying to reach? What stops you? Is that a form of paralysis?
What are you doing about it? What caliber of employee will help
your organization overcome the paralysis that keeps you from
moving to your next level? Could disabled workers help provide
some unexpected answers? What qualifies Kate Adamson to speak
to this issue?
In 1995, against one-in-a-million odds, Kate overcame Locked-in
Syndrome from a devastating double brainstem stroke. She was
completely and total paralyzed, on life support, unable to move,
speak, or even blink her eyes. Today she inspires audiences
from coast to coast to overcome personal and organizational
paralysis with professional focus and personal discipline.
Her simple but profound presentation, “One Hand Clapping”,
demonstrates that corporations as well as individuals can achieve
the improbable by focusing on what we have, not what we don’t;
what we want, not what we don’t; and what we can do, not
what we can’t.
She encourages employers to respect and appreciate the disabled,
not by assuming that every disabled person is a good worker
but by recognizing that good employees who overcome disabilities
often develop extraordinary approaches to ordinary problems.

Testimonials:
It's an amazing, amazing story! -- Bill O'Reilly
You met all the objectives for our conference- education,
empowerment and enrichment. Your words were an inspiration to
me and the entire audience. You exude such a positive attitude
despite your challenges in life. This demonstration of perseverance
inspired me to put my life in perspective.
Patricia Flaagan, Co-Chair, National Association of Insurance
Women, Int’l..
Your visit to Erie, PA affected so many lives within the medical
community as well as the general public. I received such positive
feedback to your presentations. You were professional, genuine
and appealing to all. The presentation you shared with the 500
women at Hamot’s Healthy Women Seminar was spectacular!
Your informal meeting with the stroke group was fabulous! The
same message of spiritual intervention met our medical community
as well. There are times in medical treatment where a reliance
on an individual’s faith is inadvertently sidelined. Comments
I received from the medical conference evaluation forms included
some of the following. “The speaker has phenomenal strength
and courage” “what a moving and motivational speaker!”
“Very good for health care professionals to hear such a
realistic and patient view.” “Excellent – tough
act to follow!” Medical professionals really do benefit
from reality, not just research.”
Ann Sokoloff, RN BSN, Stroke Educator, Hamot Medical Center, PA
