Bio:
After going into anaphylactic shock four times, being rushed
to the hospital, and never discovering the root of the cause following
a series of blood tests, allergy tests, and opinions from multiple
doctors, Dr. Doug was inspired to study and tap into a great power
within the body to take control and heal himself. His medicine
became his mind and after studying countless spiritual healing
techniques, he was able to utilize the power of thought to reverse
the onset of inflammation in front of his eyes and heal himself.
His contributions in health, fitness, and lifestyle over the years,
along with a more than ordinary spiritual and moral insight, has
gained him respect as a leader of contemporary life. His discussions
serve as educational, entertaining, interesting, eye opening,
and filled with a multi-sided presentation of many contemporary
issues. He is a post-modern day individual who has been on stage
singing, performing in film, television, commercials, theatrical
performances, and voiceovers over the years.
Born in Waterbury, CT, Dr. Douglas Haddad graduated first in his
class in biological sciences from Central Connecticut State University
(CCSU) in his undergraduate studies receiving the Departmental
Honor Award in Biological Sciences, received his master’s
degree in biology and possesses a doctorate degree in natural
health from Clayton College of Natural Health. He has taught “Chemistry
of Nutrition” at CCSU working along side many professors
in nutrition, exercise and physiology research. He is certified
by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement
Specialist for elite athletes.
Dr. Douglas Haddad has been quoted and interviewed on ABC, NBC,
as well as other television networks, in newspapers and magazines
including Men’s Exercise, Chicago Health, NEA Today, New
York Resident, PR News, and Holistic Times among many. He has
written for several publications as a contributing writer and
as a regular columnist for GeezerJock.
Dr. Doug is the co-author of Top Ten Tips for Tip Top Shape: SUPER
HEALTH programs for all professional fields. He will be releasing
his second book, I CAN Prevent Another Tragedy, in January 2009.
He travels across the nation speaking to adults and children at
schools, hospitals, athletic banquets, Boy Scout meetings, for
parents and various institutions and places of employment. After
speaking about health, fitness, and lifestyle topics to youth
and adults, he has witnessed that people and their health are
greatly affected by what is presented from mass media among other
factors.
